Our Favorite Crockpot Recipes

When it comes to easy snack foods, Deli Direct makes feeding and entertaining guests as easy as completing a simple internet order of delicious sausages or Wisconsin cheese. But we are fans of food in general here and know just how valuable quick and easy crockpot recipes can be for those families that don’t always have a lot of time at the end of the day to put together a complete meal from scratch.

The following are some truly easy-to-make and delicious crockpot meals, some of which are made even more delicious by the inclusion of the cheeses and special sauces we sell here at Deli Direct:

Chili
Crockpot chili during the winter months warms the soul like few other foods can. It’s easy as browning some hamburger, then transferring it to the crockpot where it will join forces with a can of chili beans, some tomato sauce, a little bit of onion and peppers, and of course an ample supply of chili powder. While recipes vary, a dash of one of our many hot sauce options can help give it a little heat, while adding a dollop of sour cream and shredding some of our block cheeses can help counter that heat with some creamy coolness.

Pot Roast
One of the easiest crockpot dishes, all pot roast requires is a beef roast the right size to feed your family, as well as some baby carrots and red potatoes, cut to whatever size you like. While there are a number of ways to season these roasts, simply adding a can of beef broth and some cream of mushroom soup is an incredibly easy way to go about things. When you come home, you’ll have a flavorful, tender roast that practically melts in your mouth.

Chicken Fajitas
Cooking traditional fajitas can be a smoky endeavor, but this method includes combining a couple of chicken breasts, a can of salsa, some rinsed black beans and a bit of taco seasoning into a crockpot, then shredding it when dinner time finally rolls around. At that point it either can be added to a salad or stacked on a tortilla with shredded cheese, and our cheese options are especially delicious with these chicken tacos.

Barbecue Pulled Pork
As far as party foods go, it’s hard to top a good BBQ pulled pork. Give your pork shoulder a full day on low to soak in a cheap barbecue sauce, then dump the sauce, shred the pork, and return it to crockpot along with a new, better BBQ sauce, like the Big Bad Bubbas BBQ sauce we sell right here at Deli Direct. Your guests will love this easy recipe. All you need from there are slider buns and a little coleslaw to make the perfect meal!

We know it isn’t easy cooking for the family during the workweek, but taking good advantage of your slow cooker will make your life infinitely easier. We can help some by shipping the sauces and cheeses that help make these recipes possible, but trust that they are all delicious enough and easy enough to make your week’s worth of food so much less stressful.
